Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. –July 5th, 2010 – ADATA (TAIEX: 3260), the largest Memory Module Company in Taiwan, today announced that net sales for June 2010 totaled NT$ 3,564 million. Revenue for the second quarter 2010 from April to June which was down 10.25% sequentially totaled NT$ 10,524 million. Accumulated revenue for the first half 2010 was NT$ 22,250 million.
In comparison to May 2010, June 2010 monthly sales revenue increased 9.63% due to a calm DRAM ASP drop. On year-over-year basis, the monthly sales revenue increased 73.52% compared to NT$2,054 million of June 2009. As to monthly product mix, DRAM accounts for 66.61% and NAND accounts for other 33.39% in total sales.
Given that price was on the slide for both DRAM and NAND Flash, net sales for the second quarter 2010 was lower than company expected. Regarding quarterly product mix, NAND portion was decreased to 39.01% when compared to the first quarter. Weak selling of end market and increasing TLC supply kept NAND product price flattish. These downward pricing trends will also hit company profit for the quarter.
