Founded in May, 2001 by Chairman and CEO Mr. Simon Chen, A-DATA Technology Co., Ltd. has quickly risen to become one of the world’s largest memory product providers. At the beginning, with DRAM modules as the major product line, A-DATA Technology’s mission was to become “The Global Leading Brand of Memory Products.” Later on, recognizing the market’s trend, A-DATA Technology diversified its product portfolio to include Flash peripherals and to capitalize on the strong growth of the Flash-based product market. With the ability to quickly develop high-quality DRAM memory and Flash memory products that meet market demand, A-DATA Technology has experienced outstanding growth. Based on an April, 2005 iSuppli report, A-DATA ranks third in the world for DRAM Module and fifth for Flash Disk respectively.

Mr. Chen proudly points out that A-DATA Technology has been profitable every year, even when the DRAM market cycle and pricing was fluctuating dramatically. Mr. Chen has led A-DATA Technology on the right track and the company continues to hit historical highs for revenue. This strong growth allowed A-DATA Technology to reach NT$26.2 billion (US$794 million) in revenue for 2004. In 2005, total sales revenue has been increasing significantly as well. Through three quarters in 2005, total revenue has already reached NT$23.318 billion (US$707 million), an increase of more than 35% compared to the same period in 2004.
